Urgent: China beats Japan for 12th straight men's title at table tennis team worlds

LONDON, May 10 (Xinhua) -- China achieved a historic milestone on Sunday by defeating Japan 3-0 in the men's final of the 2026 ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships Finals to claim its 12th consecutive gold.

It also marked a record, as China lifted the Swaythling Cup for the 24th time in history, with its current title streak dating back to the 2001 edition in Osaka.
