KUALA LUMPUR: Hosts Thailand have unveiled the official logo and mascot for the 33rd SEA Games from Dec 9-20.

In a unique twist, Thailand have introduced five different mascots, collectively named "The Sans."

These five characters are inspired by geometric forms derived from Thai motifs, with each having a distinct shape and color - green, blue, yellow, pink and red. They symbolize individuality, unity, and cultural diversity, blending modernity with heritage.

The logo for the Thailand SEA Games features colorful stripes that evoke the spirit of sportsmanship while highlighting the country’s rich cultural heritage.

Both the logo and mascots were designed by Thiranop Wangsilpakun from TNOP Design.

Thailand are poised to redefine the SEA Games with a world-class event that unites nations while harmoniously fusing tradition with a global outlook.

A total of 50 sports with 574 events will be contested at the Games, along with three demonstration sports, namely Flying Disc, Tug of War, and Air Sports.

Interestingly, three major cities in Thailand, namely Bangkok, Chonburi, and Songkla, will serve as the host venues for this year’s Games.
