Weightlifting star Aniq wins two silvers in the World Championships


PETALING JAYA: Weightlifter Aniq Kasdan made the nation proud by winning two silver medals at the World Weightlifting Championships in Manama, Bahrain, on Saturday (Dec 7).

Competing in the under-61kg category, the Johor native carried a total weight of 296kg in the overall standings to win silver and showed his prowess in the clean and jerk with a lift of 166kg, which saw him second in the standings.
