Asian Games: Women's kata team grabs silver


HANGZHOU: The women's kata team comprising Lovelly Anne Robberth, Naccy Nelly Evvaferra Rojin and Niathalia Sherawinnie Yampil danced to silver on the second day of the karate competition at the Hangzhou Asian Games on Friday (Oct 6).

The Malaysian trio scored 39.0 while Vietnam won the gold with a final display of 42.7.

Vietnam are the silver medallists in women's team kata at the Asian championships in Melaka in July.

It is the second silver medal for Lovelly, who finished second in the individual kata event on Thursday.
