PHNOM PENH: Rory Thor Chuan Leong stayed cool to win the men's singles snooker title in the SEA Games at Aeon Mall 2 on Sunday (May 14).

The 35-year-old defeated Thai Akani Songsermsawad 3-1 in the final to ensure that the Malaysian snooker team met their two-gold medal target in Phnom Penh.

Earlier, Chuan leong had bounced back from a two-frame deficit to overcome Cambodia's Sophanith Men 4-2.

Teammate Lim Kok Leong, the national champion, however, lost 0-4 to Akani in the other semi-final.

The losing semi-finalists each received a bronze medal.

Moh Keen Hoo won gold for Malaysia in the six-red snooker singles event earlier this week.
