Food delivery rider goes down fighting in final

Penang's Mohd Shahdam Abdul Aziz took a knee-to-head knockout blow during his fight with Perak's Rifdean Masdor at South City Plaza in Seri Kembangan. - KAMARUL ARIFFIN/The Star

THERE was no shame in defeat for Penang’s muay thai exponent Mohd Shahdam Abdul Aziz as he failed to deliver against reigning world champion Rifdean Masdor in the men’s 48kg final at the Malaysia Games (Sukma).

The food delivery rider put up a strong resistance but Rifdean’s experience made all the difference as the 2019 Philippines SEA Games gold medallist took the lead in the first bout 10-9 at South City Plaza in Seri Kembangan.
