PHILIPPINE’s Danielle Pisa’s gold medal win in the hoop event for rhythmic gymnastics was certainly memorable as she battled cancer to compete in the sport she loves dearly. At 16, she proved that no disease is an obstacle. She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 12 years ago and was on constant chemo until she was 14.
