Mohd Helmi Abdul Aziz (right) won his bout against Jul-Omhar of the Philippines before going on to win the bronze in the Under-55kg pencak silat event at the SEA Games.

NAYPYITAW: National pencak silat exponent Mohd Helmi Abdul Aziz will always look back on the Myanmar SEA Games as a “painful” experience.

Helmi, competing in his third SEA Games, could only win the bronze medal after losing his Under-55kg semi-final bout 5-0 to Thailand’s Nanthachai Khansakhon at the Zeyar Thiri Indoor Stadium in Nyapyitaw on Thursday.
