Shahidan admits MAU have failed to produce calibre athletes

KUALA LUMPUR: After being the laughing stock for years, the Malaysian Athletic Union (MAU) have finally come to their senses.

And what’s more, Datuk Seri Shahidan Kassim is even willing to step down as the MAU president after six years in power – during which time, he admitted, the standard of the sport had dropped drastically.
