Stagnant Fang Yang decides to quit national team


JOHOR BARU: Back-up men’s singles shuttler Lim Fang Yang has quit the national team after losing 18-21, 15-21 to Japan’s Takuma Euda in the second round of the Malaysian Open Grand Prix Gold here yesterday.

The 23-year-old Fang Yang, who is from the same age group as Japan’s Tago Kenichi and China’s Chen Long, decided he could not contribute as a player anymore.
