SINGAPORE: Former world pool champion Wu Chia-ching is hoping to secure Singaporean citizenship after a row over pay in his homeland, Taiwan.
Chia-ching, who in 2005 became the youngest nine-ball world champion at 17, has been offered US$131,000 a year to play for the city-state, local media reported, and is set to join a fast-growing list of naturalised Singaporean sportsmen. — Reuters
