SHANGHAI: Shanghai police have insisted they can maintain public security next month during Olympic football matches in China's economic hub despite last week's attack on a police station that left six dead.
The city's public security bureau sought to dispel doubts after the July 1 attack by a 28-year-old man who allegedly wanted revenge after he was wrongly detained on suspicion of stealing a bicycle.
