ADELAIDE: World champions New Zealand stretched their record unbeaten run to 45 matches to storm into the quarter-finals of the IRB Adelaide Sevens World Series here yesterday.

The all-conquering Kiwis, on the verge of clinching this season's world crown and a record eight straight tournament wins, again dominated the opening day of pool matches, with victories over Argentina (21-14), Cook Islands (33-7) and Scotland (38-10).
