PETALING JAYA: Cheng Chu Sian became the first Malaysian male archer to qualify for the Olympics in Beijing next year after producing a breakthrough performance in the 44th World Archery Championships in Leipzig on Thursday.
The top 16 ranked archers in the men's individual recurve will secure a quota place in the Olympics for their respective country but Chu Sian went a step further by reaching the quarter-finals.
