PETALING JAYA: Steven Tan grabbed the one remaining spot available to a local golfer to play in the Maybank Malaysian Open, carding a four-under 68 to win the national qualifying round at the Bukit Kemuning Golf and Country Resort yesterday.
Steven finished one stroke ahead of fellow professional Mohd Hanafiah Jamil to earn a second consecutive appearance in the prestigious home Open, which will be played at the Saujana Golf and Country Club from Feb 8-11.
