KUALA LUMPUR: Double champions Sapura produced a scrappy performance but still managed to eke out a 1-0 win over Sultan Ahmad Shah (SAS) of Pahang at the Kuala Lumpur Hockey Stadium yesterday to take the outright lead in the Malaysia Hockey League (MHL) standings.
It was Sapura’s third consecutive win in the MHL. National midfielder Jiwa Mohan scored the all-important goal in the ninth minute off a penalty corner.
