PETALING JAYA: Kuala Lumpur's K. Kumaran was slapped with a five-year ban and fined RM3,000 after the FA of Malaysia's (FAM) disciplinary board found him guilty of head-butting referee Rosdi Shahrul on the face during a Premier League football match against PKNS at the MPPJ Stadium in Kelana Jaya on March 18.
“It is a serious offence and he (Kumaran) acted violently against the referee,” said Datuk Hamid Mustapha, deputy chairman of the board at a press conference at the Wisma FAM in Kelana Jaya yesterday.
