Trio show nerves of steel to emerge triumphant in triples

MALAYSIA had the youngest trio in the women’s lawn bowls triples competition at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games. 

But Nor Hashimah Ismail, Nor Iryani Azmi and Azlina Arshad showed nerves of steel to live up to their tag as the favourites. They staged a great comeback in the final against Australia to win Malaysia’s first gold medal in lawn bowls at the State Lawn Bowls Centre yesterday.
