RIYADH: Saudi Arabia fired national team coach Gabriel Calderon of Argentina and replaced him with Brazilian Marcos Paqueta, who will lead the Gulf state into next year’s World Cup Finals in Germany, the Saudi Football Federation (SFF) said on Tuesday.
The SFF said in a statement that they had decided to end Calderon’s contract “because they were dissatisfied with his preparations for the team ahead of the World Cup Finals in Germany”.
