HO CHI MINH CITY: Malaysia, after two consecutive defeats, picked up a consolation win in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) futsal championship when they wrapped up their Group E campaign with a 10-0 win over Guam at the Army Zone Stadium here yesterday.
The match was of academic interest because both teams were already out of contention for a place in the second round. Malaysia, who are under the charge of Brazilian Silvio Machado, had lost to Indonesia (1-2) and Japan (0-7).
