PETALING JAYA: Malaysia made a promising start on the first day of the Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) when karate exponent Ku Jin Keat won a bronze medal in the individual kata (non-sparring) competition at Uhod Hall in Medina, Saudi Arabia yesterday.
The individual kata final in the morning was the very first medal event of the inaugural Games and Jin Keat chalked up a 5-0 win over Kuwaiti exponent Fahad Yosef in the play-off for bronze.
