BEIJING: Chinas economic curbs have hit some Olympics building projects, a Beijing district official said on Friday, in a rare admission that loan tightening had hit huge preparations for the watershed 2008 event.
Construction deadlines for several venues have been set for 2007, state media have reported. The entire capital, from projects as large as roads to as small as toilets, is expected to get a facelift before the Summer Games.
