Three Iranians banned, referee sent home from Asian Cup Finals

BEIJING: Iran defender Mohammad Nosrati has been banned for the rest of the Asian Cup along with controversial referee Abdul Rahman, the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) said yesterday. 

Two more Iran defenders, Rahman Rezaei and Ali Badavi, were suspended for two matches after becoming embroiled in a violent punch-up with each other during an explosive Group D game with Oman on Saturday.
