Petronas need to beat Al Ittihad by 24 points to make the semis


KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia’s Petronas are virtually out of the running for a semi-final spot in the 14th Asian Basketball Confederation (ABC) Champions Cup after suffering their second straight defeat to Al Wahda of Syria 79-92 in Group B at the MABA Stadium here last night.  

Petronas, powered by Americans Jamal Livingston and William Carlos Booker, played well in the beginning, managing to be tied at 26-26 at the end of the first quarter.
