LONDON: The prospect of Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge being wrecked by bans on key players receded yesterday when the London club accepted reduced charges over the clashes that erupted at the end of their draw with Manchester United last month.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger had initially vowed that the club would fight any charges brought by the Football Association (FA) over his players’ violent jostling of United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy immediately after the goalless draw at Old Trafford.
