Five athletes head for Germany with Athens in mind


KUALA LUMPUR: Walker Yuan Yufang became the first Malaysian from athletics to book a place in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games. Now, watch out for the Malaysia’s Germany-based athletes to do the same. 

To fuel the fire in them, the National Sports Council (NSC) have decided to continue with their athletes’ training programme in Leipzig training centre in Germany. The athletes are Malik Tobias (decathlon), Mohamed Zaiful Zainal Abidin (400m), Moh Siew Wei (100m hurdles) and Noraseela Khalid (400m hurdles), Loo Kum Zee (high jump).
