If there is one thing the Germans are famous for, it's ruthless efficiency. And that's exactly they are applying as they prepare for the 2006 World Cup Finals, a tournament they want to famously host and win. STARSPORT'S ERIC SAMUEL was in Germany to see how things are going along.  

WHEN the German national football team stepped out of the aircraft in Frankfurt the day after the final of the 2002 FIFA World Cup in South Korea-Japan, thousands of ecstatic fans were there to greet them. And the Germans had only been second best.
