JOHOR BARU: Ghanaian striker Robert Eshun arrived in Kuching on Saturday but Sarawak will have to wait until March for Burkina Faso striker Romeo Kambou.

Coach Jalil Ramli welcomed Eshun, who will join the team in training today. The players were given a “Family Day” break from training yesterday to allow them to spend time with their love ones.

On Saturday, the Sarawak team spent a day at the Rambongan Beach near Lundu where the players took part in beach football, beach volleyball and other fun games.

“The players enjoyed the stint very much,” said Jalil from Kuching yesterday.

“As for Romeo, I have been told that he has informed the FA officials that he will only be able to be here in March.”

Kambou, who joined Sarawak in mid-season last year and scored eight goals in Premier I, is said to be contracted to a Qatari team until March.

Sarawak open their campaign in Premier I this season with an away match against Pahang on March 15.
