PETALING JAYA: Team manager Zulfahmi Khairuddin has reminded Hakim Danish Ramli to be vigilant about the unpredictable weather conditions at the Le Mans Circuit ahead of Round 5 of the Moto3 World Championship in France this weekend.
Rain is predicted to fall around the venue, making it a testing condition for the riders but Zulfahmi remains optimistic that Hakim will be able to continue the positive momentum after a positive outing in the previous round in Jerez, Spain last month.
“Le Mans is always a challenging circuit, not to mention with the unpredictable weather conditions expected,” he said.
“Our focus is to ensure that Danish’s positive development continues and help him adapt as early as possible from the first session.
“In Moto3, the difference in performance is very small, so every aspect needs to be carefully refined.
“I will be here to ensure that all preparations go smoothly and provide full support to the team,” said Zulfahmi, who is the team manager for AEON Credit MT-Helmets-MSI team.
Hakim is currently in 15th place overall with 12 points, after collecting three more valuable points at the Spanish GP.
The level of competition in the Moto3 class is much more intense but the Terengganu-born rider will be drawing on his experience there.
Hakim recorded excellent results at the same circuit while competing in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup last season, earning two podium finishes.
“We believe that with the experience he has at this circuit and the current momentum, it will provide the opportunity to achieve better results,” he added.
