KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian Moto3 racer Hakim Danish Ramli rode superbly to finish 10th in the Brazil Grand Prix to undeline his talent in the sport.

The AEON Credit-MT Helmets-MSi rider, who had to miss Hari Raya celebration at home, started the race in third spot after an encouraging ride on Saturday's qualifying session and went on to take six points by crossing the finishing line at 10th.

It was the first time that the 18-year-old had won points in the world motor event.

Hakim had finished 18th in the opening race in Thailand.

The race was won by Spaniard Maximo Quiles, who beat Marco Morelli of Argentina by only 0.143 seconds.

Indonesian racer Veda Pratama finished third, 1.650 seconds behind the winner.
