Hakim to race full season in Moto3 next year

PETALING JAYA: Hakim Danish Ramli will be racing in the Moto3 World Championship next year as a full season rider with MSI Racing Team. 

The team made the announcement today (Oct 25) at the Petronas Grand Prix of Malaysia that Hakim will race alongside Japanese rider Ryusei Yamanaka for the Spanish outfit in the lightweight class next season.

The Terengganu-born, who is currently competing as a Moto3 wildcard rider, said it was a dream come true.

"Of course, this news makes me really happy and gives me extra motivation and spirit to push harder this weekend (at Malaysian GP).

"I am so excited to be joining Moto3 next year with MSI, it is truly a dream come true. I am really looking forward to next year and will give my absolute 100 per cent.”

Hakim will start the Malaysian GP race today from 14th place. He posted a commendable qualifying time of 2:11.487s. 

David Almansa of Spain took pole for Leopard Racing with a time of 2:09.846s.
