KUALA LUMPUR: Thai ASB1000 rider Nakarin Atiratphuvapat spoiled the show for the Malaysian camp by winning Race 1 of the opening round in the Asia Road Racing Championship at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand.

Mohd Zaqhwan Zaidi of Honda Racing Malaysia had earned pole position with the fastest lap time of 1:35:056s earlier in the day.
