PETALING JAYA: Thai rider Nakarin Atiratphuvapat reigned supreme in the MAM Malaysia Superbike Championship (MSBK) at the Sepang International Circuit by sweeping to another victory.

Having already taken the championship title after winning Race 1 on Saturday, Nakarin displayed unwavering determination to dominate once again, securing his sixth consecutive win of the season by winning Race 2 in Round 4 yesterday.

“Amazing race to end the season. I kept my pace from the beginning, which was really difficult with the competition.

“I stayed focused on my lap times and improving my riding style. Winning the championship this season has been incredible.

“I’ll continue to work hard and look forward to coming back stronger next season,” said Nakarin.

The Honda Racing Thailand rider started in third place, with Boon Siew Honda Racing Team’s Azroy Hakeem Anuar leading the charge, closely followed by Kasma Daniel Kasmayudin of Yamaha Tekhne Racing Team Asia.

Nakarin calmly trailed the frontrunners while fending off pressure from Azlan Shah Kamaruzaman of Horizon Racing Team and Mohd Ibrahim Mohd Norrodin of FGRT Project.

By the third lap, Nakarin made his move, overtaking Azroy and Kasma to seize the lead.

From there, he maintained a blistering pace, gradually pulling away from the group and crossing the line at 21’15:661s, winning with a 5:322s gap.

Despite not finishing Race 2, Azlan claimed runners-up overall in the MSBK100A category for the season, while Kasma took third.
