Speedy Tigers ready to slay German giants in daunting opening match


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia face a daunting task of taking on reigning World Cup hockey winners Germany in their opening group stage match in Belgium today, but they have proven before that giants can fall.

The Speedy Tigers have defeated the world No. 5 Germany once in their previous eight meetings, which came seven years ago in an official international test match when they won 4-2 in Krefeld, Germany.
