Malaysia boost semis bid at Hockey5s Asia Cup with 18-goal win


PETALING JAYA: Malaysia took a giant step in their bid to enter the semi-finals of the men’s Hockey 5s Asia Cup after notching a big 18-2 win over Japan in Salalah, Oman, yesterday.

Akhimullah Anuar Esook scored a double hattrick when he slammed in goals in the second minute, twice in the eighth minute, and 10th, 23rd and 29th minutes to give Malaysia the advantage.
