Hockey: No big deal in Malaysia’s first win


INCHEON: Malaysia recovered some lost pride in hockey, but there was nothing to shout about in their 8-2 win over Singapore in their opening Group A match at the Seonhak Hockey Stadium.

Malaysia, the silver medallists at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, were expected to put up an inspiring performance after the flop at last month’s Glasgow Commonwealth Games. But there was nothing to suggest everything is all right although they were playing against a weaker opponent.
