PETALING JAYA: Artistic gymnast Farah Ann Abdul Hadi has quit the sport.
The 27-year-old Farah, who has toiled for the nation for more than two decades, announced her decision on her social media page yesterday.
"25 years ago a little girl took a leap of faith and joined the crazy world of gymnastics. Now, I'm finally ready to say goodbye to the competitive sport," said Farah.
"Thank you for all the wonderful memories and the experiences that I have had.
"To all the people whom I've met along the way..to all the guidance, love and support. thank you.
The highlight of Farah's career was representing Malaysia at the Tokyo Olympic Games last year.
"I may be retiring as an athlete but I will continue to be involved in the world of sports," said the 2019 Philippines SEA Games champion.
