Retailer expands into Central Java with new Semarang store


The store is designed to deliver a comprehensive shopping experience for golfers of all skill levels.

MST Golf, in partnership with Erajaya Active Lifestyle (ERAL), opens its latest store at Black Eagle Golf Course in Semarang, Indonesia, marking the company’s first expansion beyond the Greater Jakarta region.

The launch underscored the group’s commitment to strengthening Indonesia’s fastgrowing active lifestyle and golf ecosystem.

“Situated within one of Semarang’s leading golf destinations, the new 4,553 sq ft store is designed to offer a complete retail experience for golfers of all levels,” said Erajaya Active Lifestyle chief executive officer Djohan Sutanto.

“Black Eagle Golf Course was selected for its strong and consistent player traffic, high playing frequency and established community – positioning it as one of Central Java’s most influential golfing hubs.”

The move also reflects a deliberate strategy to widen MST Golf Indonesia’s footprint while tapping into emerging regional demand, he added.

“The expansion into Semarang represents a strategic step in broadening our market reach beyond Jakarta, while responding to the growing interest in golf as part of an active and premium lifestyle.

“We see strong market potential here, supported by economic growth and an expanding golf community. Our presence at Black Eagle will provide access to global products and brands while enhancing the overall golfing experience for our customers.

“Semarang’s rise as a key economic centre, particularly within the middletoupper consumer segment, aligns with the demographic profile of Indonesia’s golf market,” said Djohan.

With improving golf infrastructure and a growing player base, the city offers fertile ground for modern golf retail development, he added.

The new retail outlet also strengthens Black Eagle’s positioning as a onestop golf retail destination, giving players convenient access to premium equipment and accessories directly at the point of play.

To celebrate the opening, MST Golf Indonesia is offering promotions from May 15 to 31, including up to 20% discounts and additional cashback of up to 1,500,000 rupiah for selected bank cardholders.

The Semarang store forms part of the company’s expansion roadmap, with further growth planned in other highpotential cities. MST Golf Indonesia currently carries more than 59 world-renowned brands, including TaylorMade, Honma, Puma, G/FORE, Adidas, Majesty, ONOFF, Yamaha and Nike.
