Natasha takes a breather after wrapping up LPGA Ford C’ship

PETALING JAYA: LPGA Tour rookie golfer Natasha Andrea Oon will be looking to a well deserved two-week break after wrapping up her campaign at the Ford Championship in Arizona with a tied 60th finish.

Natasha carded a one-under 71 in the final round to sign off on a total of seven-under 281, capping another encouraging finish in just her second start of the LPGA Tour season.

Natasha also made the cut in her debut LPGA tournament at the Fortinet Founders Cup in California earlier this month.

Natasha’s final round reflected the ups and downs of her week.

She traded a birdie with three bogeys on the front nine to make the turn at two-over, before producing a steadier back nine.

The 2019 SEA Games team silver medallist golfer regained her rhythm after the turn, picking up birdies on holes 11, 17 and 18 to ensure she finished the week on a positive note.

Despite the fluctuating form, Natasha will take heart from making back-to-back cuts and continuing to build momentum after a two-year injury layoff that delayed the start of her rookie campaign.

Natasha will now have time to rejuvenate as she is not in the field for the Aramco Championship in Las Vegas next week.

She is expected to return to action at the JM Eagle LA Championship in Los Angeles from April 16-19, and currently sits 120th in the Race to CME Globe standings.
