THE Trump administration has terminated a contract to run three public golf courses in Washington, setting the stage for the president to overhaul their operation as he moves to put his stamp on the nation’s capital.
The National Links Trust, a nonprofit that runs the courses, said a 50-year lease signed in 2020 was ended. The trust said, in a written statement, that it is devastated by the decision and will halt work on its renovation of the Rock Creek Park course.
