PETALING JAYA: She came, she saw, she conquered. Miyu Yamashita of Japan won the Maybank Championship in a three-way playoff yesterday – her second career title in an impressive rookie season on the LPGA Tour.

The 24-year-old golfer was the first to top the congested leaderboard on the final day, carding the day’s lowest round of seven-under 65 to finish with a total of 18-under 270 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club yesterday.
