Wong set to become first Malaysian woman referee at the Open

Wong will officiate at the Open at Royal Portrush Golf Club this week.

THE Malaysian Golf Association’s Rules Committee chair, Deborah Wong (left), has been appointed to the rules team of the 153rd British Open Championship, set to take place at Royal Portrush Golf Club in in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, next week.

The Open, golf’s most celebrated tournament and now the fourth and last major of the men’s season, represents a marked achievement for Wong.
