Coach not surprised by Mirabel success


MIRABEL Ting’s midweek triumph in the United States was yet another example of the growing strength of the Malaysian women’s game.

The 19-year-old claimed her sixth US collegiate title at the Briar’s Creek Invitational in South Carolina to continue a fine run of form that also took in a tie for 12th palce at last October’s Maybank Championship in Kuala Lumpur. That was her LPGA Tour debut.
