THE inclusion of Mirabel Ting, Ashley Lau and Maybank’s Asean ambassador Kelly Tan in the US$3mil LPGA showdown at Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club this month is a sensible and welcome move on the part of the organisers.

As highlighted in TeeUp last weekend, Mirabel, Malaysia’s leading amateur player, is enjoying a good season and climbed to eighth place in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, following three successive victories, at home and in the United States, where she studies at Florida State University.
