KUALA LUMPUR: National No. 1 Gavin Green produced one of his best opening day performances after shooting a bogey-free seven-under 64 in IRS Prima Malaysian Open at the Mines Resort and Golf Club.
The 30-year-old European Tour campaigner joined rookie professional Khavish Varadan, who also carded a 64, to sit just two shots off the joint leaders Veer Ahlawat of India and Jazz Janewattananond of Thailand yesterday.
