Another accolade for Valley course

The Valley course at Els Club Desaru has caught the eye of some again.

THE Valley course at the Els Club Desaru Coast was recognised as Malaysia’s Best Golf Course for the second year in a row at the World Golf Awards.

Part of the World Travel Awards, the World Golf Awards celebrate and reward excellence in golf tourism, golf courses and golf destinations in general.

Situated within Desaru Coast, recently listed in Time Magazine as one of the World’s Greatest Places of 2021, the Els Club Desaru Coast comprises the Valley and Ocean golf courses, and is surrounded by a wide variety of wildlife species in Johor.

The Valley Course was designed by three-time Major championship winner Vijay Singh in collaboration with Ernie Els Design.

Desaru Coast as a whole is made up of classy hotels including Asia’s first One and Only, the Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas, the Westin Desaru Coast Resort, Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast and the region’s largest water park – Adventure Water Park Desaru Coast.

Huge credit goes to the golf course maintenance team led by our group director of agronomy Sean Kinsley, for their relentless hard work and dedication in delivering a world-class golfing experience,” said Els Club Desaru Coast general manager Steven Thielke.

“With international travel set to gradually resume and with the standard health and safety operating procedures being adhered to, this is the perfect time for Malaysian golfers and golfers from across the region to discover the Els Club Desaru Coast and explore Desaru Coast for its great wide open spaces,” added Thielke.
