THE Gainbridge LPGA Tournament in Orlando, Florida that starts on Thursday, gets the LPGA Tour going in earnest.

Next week will be the LPGA Drive on Championship presented by Volvik at Golden Ocala in Ocala, Florida, before the Kia Classic in Carlsbad, California from March 25-28. This will be followed by the season’s first Major on the LPGA Tour, the ANA Inspiration from April 1-4 at Mission Hills Golf Club in Rancho Mirage, California.

South Korea will expect another good showing from their contingent and perhaps no less from Jin Young Ko, Sei Young Kim and In Bee Park – the players who occupy the top-three places in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings, in that order.

Indeed, Korea has eight players in the women’s world top-20 with Hyo-Joo Kim (9th), Sung Hyun Park (10), Jeong Eun Lee6 (12), So Yeon Ryu (14) and Hae Ran Ryu (18) also in the mix.

Nelly Korda is the best-ranked player from outside South Korea. The American is fourth, with her compatriot Danielle Kang less than a point behind in fifth spot.
