KUALA LUMPUR: Keeping it simple is sometimes the best strategy – especially when you are tackling the west course of the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC).

That game plan worked out pretty well for Prom Meesawat as the Thai carded a four-under 68 to be joint-sixth – and one of three Asians in the top-10 – in the opening round of the Maybank Malaysian Open.
