Danny shares first round lead at Queen's Cup

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia’s Danny Chia (pic) grabbed a share of the first round lead with a stunning six-under 65 with Japan’s Daisuke Kataoka and Finland’s Jaakko Makitalo at the Queen’s Cup in Thailand.

Danny, who was the first Malaysian winner on the Asian Tour when he clinched the Taiwan Open in 2002, traded seven birdies against a lone bogey on the par-four 12th to enjoy an encouraging start at the Santiburi Samui Country Club yesterday.
