Super League: Terengganu edged Brunei 1-0, Kelantan defeated Sabah 3-2

PETALING JAYA: Forward Engku Shakir Engku Yacob's solitary strike turned out to be the winner as Terengganu edged Brunei 1-0 in the Super League on Tuesday (Jan 13).

Engku scored in the 42nd minute at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium to earn the Turtles three points.

Meanwhile, Kelantan defeated Sabah 3-2 to secure three points and record their fourth win this season.

The Real Warriors got their goal early as Alexandre Yeoule scored just six minutes into the match, but Sabah replied with Darren Lok’s equaliser three minutes later.

Kelantan then got ahead after defender Simen Lyngbo scored a header in the 16th minute, before forward Mohd Asraf Aliffuddin Yasin doubled the lead in the 23rd minute.

Sabah managed to close the gap in injury time when Ajdin Mujagic converted a penalty, but it wasn’t enough to level things with Kelantan.
